Tellus science Science Museum


This week our class went on a field study to Tellus Science Museum.  At the Tellus Science Museum, we learned about rocks and minerals.  We did many fun things.  First, we explored different rocks and minerals.  Did you know that rock is in our toothpaste?  Next, we went to a lab.  We sorted rocks into the three groups, sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic.  Also in the lab, we had to know the names of the rocks.  Last, we went panning.  We collected many rocks.  Here are some quartz, Tiger’s eye, and Obsidian.  My favorite was Aquamarine.  We had a great time!
